  • Single-family homes & residential properties (1–4 units): Request a pickup online or through the Recycle Coach
  • Businesses & apartments (5+ units): Contact your franchise hauler directly.
  • E-waste: Take to Glendale Recycling Center (540 W Chevy Chase Dr, Glendale, CA 91204).
    • Hours: Weekdays 7:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Sunday closed.
  • Hazardous waste: Bring to Glendale Household Hazardous Waste Facility (780 Flower St, Glendale, CA 91201).
    • Hours: Every Wednesday and the 2nd Saturday of each month, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • The City services all single-family homes and residential properties with 1–4 units.
  • Businesses and apartments with 5+ units are serviced by franchise haulers.
  • Place food scraps in a clear plastic bag and put them inside your green curbside cart with yard waste.
    • Tip: Reuse produce, bread, or other clear bags you already have.
  • Food scraps are processed separately from yard waste.
  • Bagging makes it easier for workers to separate materials and ensures everything goes to the correct facility.
  • No. Plastic bags, straws, utensils, and takeout cups should go in the black trash cart.
  • These items are too small and flimsy to be recycled and often jam sorting equipment.
  • Yes, collection occurs on all holidays except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
