Residential Homes

Residential Homes

The City of Glendale provides waste collection services for all residential homes and small apartments and condos with 1–4 units. Our goal is to make recycling, composting, and disposal simple and convenient for every household while helping Glendale meet state recycling and organics laws.

Please follow the rules below to ensure your carts are collected each week:

  • CLEAR AND ACCESSIBLE PLACEMENT – Set carts at the curb in an open area where they are not blocked by parked cars, trees, mailboxes, or other obstacles, and where collection trucks can safely reach them.
  • DO NOT OVERFILL – Carts must weigh under 200 lbs. and lids must close completely.
  • NO CONTAMINATION – Only place approved items in each cart. See our Recycling Guide for details.

  1. Check for a notice or tag left by the driver.
  2. Confirm that your cart was placed correctly (not blocked or overfilled).
