Resident Recycling Resources

Resident Recycling Resources

Glendale offers programs and tools to help residents reduce waste and recycle more effectively at home. Explore the programs below to get started.

Organics Recycling Pail

The Organics Recycling Pail makes it easy to collect food scraps and food-soiled paper in your kitchen. Line the pail with a clear bag, fill it as needed, tie the bag closed, and place it in your green organics cart along with yard trimmings. The pail can be hand washed and air dried.

Each Glendale household may pick up one free pail at the Public Works Integrated Waste office (548 W Chevy Chase Drive) on Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please bring a current Glendale utility bill or driver’s license for verification.

Recycling Tote Bag

The Recycling Tote Bag makes it easy to collect and carry recyclables from inside your home to your outdoor blue cart. Place the washable bag under the sink, beside your indoor trash container, or in a closet to store recyclables until you’re ready to empty them. The tote can be hand washed and air dried.

Each Glendale household may receive up to two free tote bags. Bags can be picked up at the Public Works Integrated Waste office (548 W Chevy Chase Drive) on Tuesdays and Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Please bring a current Glendale utility bill or driver’s license for verification.

Note: Property managers may request additional bags with advance notice.
